Questions
Which fax numbers can I send to?
Fax numbers in the United States and Canada, including toll-free numbers (800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888). We don't send to premium-rate numbers (900, 976), to other countries that use the +1 code (for example, Caribbean countries), or to US territories such as Puerto Rico and Guam at this time. The app checks the number before you pay.
What happens if my fax fails?
If the line is busy or doesn't answer, we retry automatically. If the fax still can't be delivered, your credit is returned automatically and the app explains what went wrong. If only some pages were delivered, we show which ones and refund the whole fax. Read the refund policy.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You can buy a Single Fax for $2.99 (up to 10 pages). If you fax often, Send Weekly ($4.99 per week) covers up to 100 pages per week.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account. In GoFax, open Settings and tap "Manage subscription" to go straight there. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Step-by-step instructions.
Can I receive faxes?
Not yet. Your own fax number, temporary numbers, and receiving faxes are coming in a future update. Today GoFax sends faxes to the US and Canada.
What happens to my documents?
Your documents and fax images are deleted automatically after 30 days by default; you can change this in Settings. We keep a short receipt record (date, recipient number, page count, transmission ID, status) so you have proof of sending, and you can delete that too. Privacy policy.
Is GoFax HIPAA compliant?
No. GoFax does not currently claim HIPAA compliance and does not sign Business Associate Agreements. Healthcare providers, health plans, and their business associates should not use GoFax to send protected health information on behalf of their organization.
Can I send marketing or bulk faxes?
No. Sending unsolicited advertising faxes is illegal in the US and is prohibited by our Terms of Service. GoFax is for sending your own documents. Sending limits apply, and accounts used for junk faxing are suspended.
